Cocoa Brown Fake Tan by Marissa Carter

I'm not a massive fake tan girl. I will usually put some on if I'm going out and feel deathly pale, or if I'm just having an off day and need to make myself feel better, because I am a firm believer that a summer glow can make MOST things better.

I've dabbled with different products in the past; Rimmel instant tan, St Moriz, Fake Bake, St Tropez. Yet I can't go more than a day in the week of putting it on because of the following reasons I'm sure most women can relate to:

Reviewed: L'Oréal Mega Volume Miss Manga mascara

So last month upon one of my daily strolls around Superdrug, I came across the beautiful new L'Oréal Mega Volume Miss Manga mascara. Now I don't think a mascara could get anymore "me" if it tried. The cute doll-girl and panda advertisements, the pink shiny packaging, coupled with the introductory offer, meant that I was taking this baby home regardless of what the brush looked like, or how good it was.

Style stalking: Pixie Lott

Ok, I'm really not ashamed to admit that I have a MASSIVE style crush on Pixie Lott. I think that she always looks incredible and immaculate, and her cutesy fashion choices are definitely the kind of things I would personally go for. Usually most of what she wears would be completely out of my price range, so I just have to look on and be jealous and try to recreate a look with something from the high street. For example the black Levi shorts and Marc Jacobs pumps combo above. I got hold of the same shorts but had to make do with some plain black pumps as I couldn't afford the MJ ones. I don't know why or how, but when I see a celebrity wearing an item of clothing, I can usually always track it down. I just seem to have a random knack for it. Genius.

Tried and tested: Schwarzkopf color mask in Pearl Blonde #910

It's only since around November last year that I've been dying my own hair. Around late August I decided to go from highlights to an all over tint at the hairdressers, and although I really liked the even colour and the fact that it was cheaper, I hated the roots that came so quickly with it and the cost of up-keeping them as well as more frequent trips to the salon.

My current skincare routine.

From L to R: L'Oréal Skin Perfection, Ren Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask, Soap & Glory Scrubatomic, Garnier Moisture Match

Ok, so I would consider myself to have really AVERAGE skin. It isn't perfect, it isn't necessarily terrible. It's kind of dull and I have big-ish pores. It isn't dry, nor overly oily. I would say combination. I have breakouts every now and again like most people and it only ever looks close to perfect when I've been on holiday; sporting a summer glow, or I've got a full face of make up on.

Up until a few months ago I would just use simple face-wipes to take off my make up, usually skipping moisturiser and any other face products. Then I went through about a three-week breakout where my skin was terrible. It was then that a friend told me how bad make up wipes are for your skin, how they spread bacteria and are just generally quite yucky. So I thought I would seek out an alternative, and on a standard lunchtime stroll around boots I thankfully stumbled across the L'Oréal skin perfection, on offer, so I thought I would give it a whirl :) (I'm on my fourth bottle.)

It was after this that I decided to try some good face products and try to get into a proper skin routine that worked for me.
